A Facebook user published a photograph on 24th June 2016 with a claim that her previous post includes images of invasion of bedbugs. These photographs were taken from an unspecified location of indoor water parks with hotels named Great Wolf Lodge. The Northeast summer season attracted many families and this claim got popularity, and the Facebook page “Great Wolf Lodge” was showing some angry comments. Most of the users said that they planned to visit the resort chain location, but now it would be cancelled due to the rumors on the Facebook. A screenshot was published by showing the Great Wolf Lodge on 27th June 2016 including the claim of bedbugs.

The response from the Great Wolf Lodge described that a city health inspector and independent eradicator managed the targeted inspection for the Great Wolf facility in Fitchburg. They found that allegedly pictured Bedbugs were originally the photographs of the remains of spider and the Great Wolf Lodge didn’t have any kind of bedbug invasion issue. We also contacted with the city inspector, he examined the lodge. He confirmed that a woman claimed about bedbugs, but she showed her satisfaction regarding the investigation. A doctor examined her child and confirmed that marks on child’s face were not bedbug bites. The city inspector confirmed that entire room was checked including pillows, fabric and mattresses, but couldn’t find any evidence about any bedbug presence.
