A photograph widely circulated on social media websites in the month of June 2016 supposedly showing a man posing with a younger wild horse killed by him with a bow & arrow in Australia. This photograph was frequently shared with unfavorable remarks regarding the hunter critiquing him for hunting a wild horse. Point to be noted that killing the wild and brutish horses is legally allowed in Australia. The government of New South Wales had announced a plan in the month of April 2016. They planned to decrease the number of wild horses from 6 thousand to 3 thousand in the coming 5 to 10 years from Kosciusko National Park by using a number of human control methods including shooting wild horses.

It is important that the plan of New South Wales government would wipe out the population of beautiful animals from Snowy Mountains. The new draft plan of Wild Horse Management for Kosciusko National Park was imposed due to a significant decrease in the recent numbers of wild horses from six thousand to three thousand from National Park over the next five to ten years. The authorities indicated that this amount will be reached at 600 over the next 20 years. The Environment Minister of New South Wales Mark Speak-man said that wild horses were destroying the weak alpine. The scientists had campaigned to eliminate all brumbies from alpine areas in Australia due to their damages on sensitive waterways and weak snowy mountains.
