Senators forwarded a letter to Trump to disclose Saudi Financial Ties

11 U.S Senators have insisted Donald Trump to disclose his financial relations with the Saudi Kingdom. Their demand has come after the murder of Jamal Khashoggi reported. These Democrat Senators forwarded a letter to the U.S President. The letter demanded his handling of the Saudi Arabian journalist and disappearance of Washington Post contributor. It raised a significant amount of concerns regarding financial conflicts of interest. Reports have indicated that the Trump Organization has maintained business relationships with the Saudi Arabian government and with the members of the Saudi royal family for decades. A Saudi prince led a group of investors that acquired the Plaza Hotel in a deal to pay off Trump Organization debts on the property for $325m in 1995.

The U.S President Donald Trump has suggested that rogue killers murdered Khashoggi. A U.S permanent resident inside a Saudi consulate and Turkish intelligence officials claimed they have evidence that the writer was killed. Saudi Arabia has already rejected any type of involvement in the case. The U.S President Trump has flatly refused the idea of withdrawing from $110bn arms deal with the nation over the crisis. He said to reporters in the Oval Office that this incident happened in Turkey and we know Khashoggi wasn’t a U.S citizen. He was a permanent U.S resident. He added that the United States can stop $110 billion deal from being spent in the country, and it will not be acceptable to him. The U.S Senators suggested his apparent defense for Saudi Arabia could be the result of conflicts of interest.
