Trump will meet Kim Jong-un Very Soon

The U.S President Donald Trump has indicated that the second meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un is expected very soon. But it might not take place in Singapore. The U.S President expressed his feelings during a meeting with South Korean President Moon Jae-in. He said, “Chairman Kim has been really very open and terrific, frankly. I think he wants to see something happen”. Moon also said he brought a personal message to Trump from the North Korean leader.

Donald Trump said secretary of state Mike Pompeo will arrange the second meeting with Kim in the near future. The first summit between the pair took place on June 12, 2018, in Singapore. The White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders also confirmed the receipt of a letter requesting the meeting from Kim on 10 September. She described it as “warm and positive”, but said the letter would not be released to the public. There has been remarkable progress in enhancing relations between Pyongyang and Washington.

President Trump stood at the podium for his first speech at the 2017 General Assembly. He called Kim Rocket Man and threatened a military strike against North Korea if Kim doesn’t take steps to stop the development and testing of nuclear weapons. The U.S President said, “There was a very dangerous time. Now, one year later a much different time”. Point to be noted that Pyongyang launched a test missile as late as November 2017.
