Trump’s comments confirmed the development of Super Duper Missile

US President Donald Trump attended a presentation arranged by the US Defense Department officials at the White House on Friday. The Department officials presented the Space Force flag to the Presented. Trump commented about the development of hypersonic missiles and named it Super Duper Missile. Trump informed reporters in the Oval Office and said, “We’re building right now, incredible military equipment, at a level that nobody’s ever seen before, we have no choice we have to do it, with the adversaries we have out there. We have, I call it the ‘super-duper missile’, and I heard the other night 17 times faster than what they have right now. Then you take the fastest missile we have right now”.

Trump added, “You heard Russia has 5-times, and China is working on 5 or 6 times, we have one 17 times, and it’s just gotten the go-ahead”. The Pentagon has carefully commented about its development of hypersonic weapons after Donald Trump commented about the existence of a new “Super Duper Missile”. The US Department of Defense refused to comment, but the Pentagon’s chief spokesperson, Jonathan Rath Hoffman tweeted and said, “The Department of Defense is working on developing a range of hypersonic missiles to counter our adversaries.” It is noteworthy that the US has been pursuing the development of hypersonic weapons for years.

A news outlet reported that the US Defense Department has at least a dozen programs tasked with developing and defending against the new breed of weapons, which travel at five times the speed of sound or more. Point to be noted that Trump directed the Pentagon in 2018 to establish the Space Force, the first new US military branch in 72 years calling for American dominance in space. More than 16,000 airmen and civilians make up the Space Force technically remain part of the Air Force. Trump has made clear he sees the newest service as critical to the future of American defense.
