At least 20 workers have requested to their former boss Donald Trump. They formerly worked under the company of current U.S President Donald Trump. Now, they need to discuss how to update the country’s immigration system and to ask for protection from deportation. They sent a letter to the White House from former groundskeepers, maids, and kitchen staffers at the Trump Organization’s golf courses. They also ask the president to recall their years of service and Do the Right Thing for them and others who are undocumented in the United States.

The Washington Post also reported that the group wrote in the letter, “We are modest people who represent the dreams of the 11 million undocumented men, women and children who live and work in this country”. This letter was signed by 21 people and it further says, “We love America and want to talk to you about helping to give us a chance to become legal”. It is noteworthy that dozens of people who worked for the Trump Organization without legal documents have spoken publicly over the past years regarding their employment with the company of U.S President. Most of them said they were motivated to come forward due to Trump’s rhetoric regarding migrants from Mexico and Central America.

They said their Trump Organization supervisors knew regarding their immigration status but hired them anyway. The officials of Trump Organization have said these workers used fake documents to get their jobs and the company fired them once they discovered. The Washington Post has detailed the Trump Organization’s reliance on undocumented labor over many years. The immigrant labor helped in building some of his golf courses and staffed jobs in housekeeping, maintenance, and food preparation into Trump’s presidency. The outlet has interviewed 40 people worked for Trump without legal status. These former workers have visited the U.S Congress and protested outside Trump rallies. They also called on federal and state authorities to investigate the hiring and payment practices of the company.
